Privacy Policy
StudyPulse · operated by Skycell Studios · Last updated: 22 July 2026
StudyPulse ("the app") is an all-in-one productivity application operated by Skycell Studios ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using StudyPulse you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name or display name, email address, username/handle, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and optionally your date of birth and profile photo.
- Content you create — tasks, notes, calendar events, flashcards, habits, goals, journal entries, lists, countdowns, audio recordings and their transcriptions, files you attach, and messages you send in chat or teams.
- Health & fitness data (optional) — if you choose to use wellness features (for example calorie, sleep, or workout tracking), the data you enter for those features. We do not collect health data unless you use those features.
- Approximate location (optional) — only if you opt in to proximity-based features (such as finding nearby users). We use a coarse, approximate area — never your precise location — and you can turn this off at any time.
- Usage & device data — app interactions, feature usage, crash logs, performance data, device model, operating system version, language, and identifiers used for analytics and push notifications.
- Purchase information — your subscription or purchase status. Payments are processed by Google Play; we never receive or store your card details.
2. How we use information
- To provide and sync the app's features across your devices.
- To personalize your experience (for example, which tools appear on your home screen and how the app addresses you).
- To provide AI features — content you submit to AI features (such as the assistant, transcription, or summaries) is processed by AI service providers on our behalf to generate results.
- To send notifications and reminders you have enabled.
- To operate social features you choose to use (chat, teams).
- To process purchases, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To understand usage, fix crashes, and improve the app.
- To show advertising, including optional rewarded ads, if and where ads are present in the app.
3. Service providers we use
We rely on trusted third-party services to run StudyPulse. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database and sync, cloud messaging (notifications), analytics and crash reporting.
- Google AI services — AI assistant responses, transcription, and summaries.
- Cloudflare — secure processing infrastructure for AI features.
- Google Play Billing & RevenueCat — purchases and subscription management.
- Google AdMob — advertising, if ads are shown in your version of the app.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Chat, teams and shared content
Messages and content you share in chat or teams are visible to their recipients. We provide reporting and blocking tools, and we may review reported content and restrict accounts to keep the community safe.
5. Data retention & deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Account & security → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and associated content from our systems within 30 days (some minimal records may be kept where required for legal, security, or billing reasons). You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. We use reputable infrastructure providers and limit access to personal data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
7. Children
StudyPulse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Proximity-based social features are restricted to users 16 and older. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us. We respond to all requests within a reasonable period.
9. International users
We operate from Sri Lanka and use global infrastructure providers, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure it remains protected wherever it is processed.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
