Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the StudyPulse app and related services ("the Service"), operated by Skycell Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use StudyPulse

You must be at least 13 years old. Proximity-based social features require you to be 16 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

Keep your credentials secure — you are responsible for activity on your account. Provide accurate information and one account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, purchases & credits

• Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro") or consumable credits. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by country.
• Payments are processed by Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to paid automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies and applicable law.
• Credits are consumable, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire if stated at purchase.
• We may change pricing or plan features prospectively; changes will not retroactively reduce a period you have already paid for.

4. Your content

You own the content you create in StudyPulse. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, transmit, and display it solely to operate and improve the Service (including processing by our service providers, such as AI and sync infrastructure). Content you share in chat or teams is visible to its recipients.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, or abuse others, or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or harmful — especially toward minors;
• impersonate others, spam, or send unsolicited promotion;
• upload malware, attempt to breach security, scrape the Service, or reverse-engineer the app except where law permits;
• use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.

We may remove content and restrict or terminate accounts for violations. You can report content or users in the app; reports are reviewed and acted on where appropriate.

6. AI features

StudyPulse includes AI-generated features (assistant, transcription, summaries). AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete — verify important information before relying on it. AI output is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for how you use AI output.

7. Health & wellness features

Any wellness-related features (for example calorie, sleep, or workout tracking) are for general informational purposes only and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

8. Service changes and availability

We are a small team improving StudyPulse continuously. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable. We will act reasonably to avoid disrupting paid features you rely on.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skycell Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 20. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 9, 10, and 13) survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes takes effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
